upholstered chairs for Hoskins

colors pop and coordinate

Two years after we met, Judi contacted me with fabric in hand, wanting a new look for her chairs.

She sent me an email with photos of the furniture she wanted upholstered, and I was able to give her a quote online.

Sometimes that works. Sometimes I need more information.

Often times a client can’t tell me if the foam is in good shape or needs to be replaced, or if a spring tie is needed.

A photograph, however, is a good way to start a discussion about the client’s budget and the cost to upholster a piece of furniture.

Judi has considerable experience with furniture and fabrics and was able to speak to me clearly about her chairs.

We met at her house and firmed up the bid with a written estimate detailing the services she would receive.

I took Judi’s chairs with me and in a week they were returned spanky new, and just the way she envisioned them.

Turn around time is not always that quick, but I do try to work on a piece as soon as it and the fabric is in my shop.

The time frame for each job is clearly articulated, every client knows when to expect a finished piece.

Judi is a really fun client!

She enjoys fabrics, isn’t afraid of change, and loves color. She comes up with beautiful combinations.

I’ve done two chairs, an ottoman, 6 dining room chairs, 4 pillows, and some attachable bed pads for Judi. I have taken fabrics to her home, provided suggestions and advice, and listened to her desires for color and pattern and together, we’ve found the right choice for her needs.

It’s been my privilege to work with Judi. I treasure our relationship and hope she keeps calling me whenever she needs, “help around her home!”
